Dental Crowns in Dallas
The Solution to Fix Damaged or Missing Teeth for Good
Lancaster Family Dentistry offers more options than ever to restore damaged or missing teeth, including dental crown placement. Some of the benefits of getting dental crowns include better chew and overall functionality, natural-looking tooth replacement, and they restore the feel of natural teeth in your mouth. If you’ve experienced severe damage such as trauma or decay, a dental crown might be the best solution.
Our local team of dental professionals uses porcelain crowns to cover the original tooth – gone are the days of seeing a mouth full or silver or gold areas where crowns had been placed. These crowns are color-matched to your natural teeth so they won’t stand out – in fact, most people find they are virtually undetectable from surrounding teeth, even if you need multiple teeth or your entire mouth full of teeth replaced. We use highly advanced techniques to help place crowns, and most patients only need them re-cemented once every 20 or 30 years.
A Two-Step Replace Missing Teeth
Once we’ve set your treatment plan in motion, all you’ll need is two additional appointments before we can place your permanent crown, we must receive it from an order we send to a master dental lab technician.
n the meantime, you will be fitted for a temporary crown until the permanent one arrives in a few weeks. Once it arrives, the dentist will evaluate its appearance and fit so your tooth will restore your normal chewing and speaking abilities. The permanent crown will be placed at the second appointment where it will be evaluated for fit and appearance before being cemented in place.
